Yeah baby I'm ready for snow ......

Fired up on the first pull, all oiled up and ready to go. Sprayed the snow chute with silicone.

These idiots should learn how to take care of their stuff, this thing will last me forever. Vintage 1998 and can't have more than 20 hours use, $ 990 retail. Electric start - who needs that crap - starts with the first pull on full choke at 15 degrees F. here today. Using 5W-30 Napa/Valvoline synthetic oil, likely start using that in my van too in the springtime. Stuff is almost clear, just a better product. Change it every six months along with the filter.

My freebie Toro snowblower from the dump ! Yeh Haw, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow !

Starting at midnight, should have 12 inches when it's all over tomorrow.

Yep, I pulled mine out of the shed and into the garage yesterday.

1999 (bought it after my crash), 8 hp, two-stage, 5 forward gears, and 2 reverse.

It does have an electric start.  And the only time it is needed is the first start of the Winter season.  After that, one pull and she fires.

A couple years, I did try to pull start it the first time...after 40 pulls or so, I got the cord...LOL!  Could be the old gas?

Yep Pooter, I'm ready too.  Picked up a couple dozen 50 lb bags of rock salt yesterday - they are sitting on a pallet waiting to be needed.  The plow is oiled and ready for use - sitting in front of the barn.  Got a couple shovels & snow broom on the front porch and of course the snow thrower is prepped and ready to go.

We were warned to expect up to 5" snow this weekend.  About 1/2" snow fell and then ice & freezing rain.  It warmed overnight to melt somewhat.  Earlier today we got a bit more snow but no worries about that as it has warmed again and the rain is now pouring down.

Such is life; using the time to work on some indoor projects - got a big list to finish before Spring.

We live in Snowdonia Wales. The name says it all.
We don't get snow here any more. Even the tops of the mountains only get a thin layer.
Climate change, if you believe in that theory.
Lets all move to Mississippi.

Smoked up my 67 429 few weeks ago ala Stampie style with ATF down the carb with a fast idle then stalled it out with a heavy dose for winter storage.

Most likely bad gas but that's Fin's area of expertise not mine.

You can't let them sit all year, I drag my Home-lite 8hp Briggs 4400 watt generator outside every summer and fire it up easily. Let it sit once for a year and tough to start. Should use some Stabil gas stabilizer or keep the gas tank low or empty and fill when needed, best to drain the carb too. Gas will harden like a varnish if left sitting in the carb. Shut off the gas valve from the tank and stall out the engine to drain the carb.

Generators down in Florida are stacked up like cordwood at the repair shops because people just let them sit for years without running them.

Worse thing for any engine is to just let them sit.

Fortuneatly I haven't needed to use it much in recent years but it's ready on demand. Have portable electric too, like to air up tires on a car ( 67 CDV salvage ) if needed with my little electric compressor.

I had no trouble starting the LEAF VACUUM today. About time the leaves fell off the trees. A couple of sixty foot oaks, Japanese maples, hickory, several zillion dogwoods, pink and white. It starts real easy when the temps are in the seventies.
I left snow behind when I left Joisey. Ever see a drift the causes the elementary school to vanish?

Haven't lost any schools but the driveway often disappears and some of the cars, too.

I love Snow.   Especially when it falls, which isn't very often here.

The road we drove through was up in the Central Highlands, and we made it through with no trouble at all.   The car got a bit dirty though.

Gee, with the '60 blending in so well with the snow colour, it is hard to see.

It is good that the Grille and Bumpers were Aluminium and Chrome.

Yep, I'm ready too!  Lawnmower's all sharpened up and ready to go, will probably mow again late this coming week or next.  Gotta have the lawn looking good for Christmas too!  Sorry about you guys in the snow belt.  Not!

I HATE snow. I hate snowmobilers and skiiers since they wish bad weather on everyone so thay can go play with their toys.

I have yet to get to my snowblower. Maybe a couple of hours going over it, new plug, clean gas etc. and it will be good. Just a little 3hp 2-stroke job. Like Porter's mine was a freebie. The guy buggered up the kill switch so it shorthed out the spark, then broke the recoil trying to start it. Then trashed it.

we got 19cm in all last night. Now it's pouring rain and the temp is going to hit 5C. Then more snow is coming tonight. Maybe another 10-20cm.

The rain can just keep coming and get rid of all that white s*** out there.
