If it is that cold it will just take a little longer for the car to run smoothly ---- basically all that valve does (when working properly) is to warm up the carburetor. Geoff

The Sanderson headers were really good. Tested with the seal that they recommend and it actually works without no leaks. Well these guys have been building headers for more than a minute so I figured they knew what they were talking about. Make sure you the alternator bracket from them as well or be prepared to make one on your own. Their does not come pre-bent either so either way, you will have to do some fab for that perfect mount........sounds like a beast!!

Did you make your own custom exhaust or did you bring it to a shop?

Sanderson is now offering a bracket? But it's not bent? Can you post some pics of your install? I can't imagine buying a bracket that's not bent?

Took it to a muffler shop here in Plano, Tx. Trust me the drivers side literally hugs the block so some serious pipe bending required if you can DIY. Dual piped ofcourse with flowmaster and some custom tips. Sounds like a beast. No leaks so all is good here total for headers, flowmaster and welding plus the pipes was around $950+......for everything else there is Mastercard....except trying to load the pics here!!!!

Send the pics to me and I'll post 'em for ya. How about a short video on youtube.com so we can hear the new exhaust?

ok will try one by one...... alternator brackets from Sanderson will look like this. Now these are the templates that they have so seeing that they are cardboard, you have to do the bending.

I'm not getting what these would look like bent. Any pictures of the finished product?

According to Sanderson, someone with either deep pockets OR who lived close nearby actually shipped the car to them and thats how they built the headers and the custom brackets. They are one-off pieces that they say get sold one-every-6-8-months. For that, they only have the templates and no pieces that are already bent to fit. They suggested I ship my car (are you kidding; I live in Texas)!! Getting ready to send some pics of one I made mysellf to someone who knows how to post pocs on here. Theres someone on here I wish I could give all the props to coz they guided me and gave me an idea through theirs which looks way better than mine but key thing here is either way you go;........time to try out the metal shop skills....really

I have a plasma cutter and a welder so I can make almost anything. All I need is an idea of how it should look. If anyone has made a braccket and it didn't work out too well I'd appreciate it if you'd share that with us as well.
