Anyone know of some cool wheels with a 6 inch back spacing?
To the original poster's question, I believe all the billet aluminum guys (Budnik, Billet Specialties, Intro, etc) will only build to order. Meaning you tell them what size backspace you want. BTW, please take some pics once you get the 20x10's on the rear, that ought to look mean!

Yes! By all means please take some pictures and let us know the final wheel/tire size and back spacing.

Mr. Ice, With a 10 inch wide rim (in the rear) a 5-1/2 inch back space will center the wheel in the opening. On my '73, running 15 x 8 inch rims with 4-1/2 inch back spaceing there is just barely clearance on both sides (inside and outside) of the tire (to the body/frame). I have to believe that 10 ionch rims might just be a streach on the stock body/frame configuration. Have you measured the wheel well carefully? Greg

And offset. It's usually easier to talk about the offset. You likely need about +15mm offset (+1/2") to center the wheel. This required offset will stay the same regardless of wheel width. Do you know what the offset was on the 'problem' wheel? I'm guessing it was actually a NEGATIVE offset like -15mm or something like that.

Thanks! Is the car in your profile pic yours? Is it a convertible? Seems like I've seen it around... Fort O cruise... and I think Cleveland. I need to sell this 67 by the way... I just brought home a 68 convertible last night... I don't need 2...

Different car then... There's a white convertible with wide whites that I see at a lot of the area cruise-ins... I'll keep my eyes open for yours though... The first cruise-in in Fort O is this coming saturday the 17th...

Ha! I thought you meant Cleveland Ohio. You mean Cleveland TN? You must be from around here to know about Ft. O. I live in Ringgold but work in Chattanooga and occasionally in Cleveland. I work for Crown Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. We just bought Kile Dodge so I'm up in Cleveland some. Stop in sometime and ask for the Commercial Truck guy. (Curtis)

Are you guys running on 20's with stock suspension? If that's the case there are absolutely loads of ads around for 20's that I could very unnecessarily waste money on... Some say nice shoes are never a waste of money...

You can absolutely fit 20's with stock suspension. But make sure you get the correct offset in the wheel. And you obviously need to size the tire accordingly. It's very easy to run 20's with the same overall tire size as factory.
If you search the forum you will find wheel offset and tire size recommendations.
