Bruce, I appreciate your concern and you did post some good info. A latched seat not designed for this would equal death.  I have considered head rests but right now that's not a compromise to the looks of the car that I am willing to make.

Of course this seat is fixed angle and the seat frame structure and floor pan/attaching points will be reinforced.  3pt belts are going in the rear as well.

I know that this car will never be as safe, or even close to as safe as a new car in a crash (and I hope I never experience that!). My intentions are to build it as safe as I possibly can without greatly deviating from the original styling.

Yes, but first I had to assemble this jigsaw puzzle to check for clearance-

Twin turbo engine, WOW!  And the grill looks beautiful.  We are going to need pics from you more often than every two months.  Weekly would be perfect!  Just kidding with you, great build!

Thanks!

Tonight I tacked the intercooler into place. I'm not sure of the exact grill placement but I had it spaced back from the inner nose about 1/2 of an inch and then I positioned it so the mounting tabs were close to vertical.

I don't have the bumpers here but looking at close-up pics of #123 online it appears they set back only about 1/2in from the front sheetmetal.

The Spal dual fans I ordered didn't seem to move enough air when I bench tested them so, the 5th fan I ended up trying is a single 18in fan from an 01 Crown Vic. The fan shroud is on the big side but it fits the radiator core nearly perfect and seems to flow a lot of air.
