I have a 1969 Cadillac Sedan DeVille I am trying to sell.
all original car under 42,000miles (not a typo)
One spot of cancer behind front wheelwell, needs paint, passenger power window motor, bad head gasket(smokes, no knock or rattles) overall solid car with great original interior, what do you want in a 40yr old unrestored car?

I need $600 to get my next project started, please take her off my hands,
I can be contacted at loshjuce@hotmail.com for more info

or you can look at the ad on appelton craigslist

Forgot, this car has never been apart, all original, all there, it's a complete car right down to the Jack and spare, hubcaps, etc...

Location?

Head gasket is causing it to smoke?

Loosing coolant?
White smoke or black?
Is coolant getting in the oil?

Wisconsin is a big state, and some people's definition of "central" is rather vague.

So near, Oshkosh, Eau Claire, or Wausau?

Not that precise Michael, but for a $600 car how many people are going to drive more than ~50 miles?

I just wish it was closer, and able to make the trip home with me  Cry

Then you'd probably think 600 miles was too far for this car?   Roll Eyes

So if it were in Oshkosh or Eau Claire you'd go get it but not Wausau?

I might have a relative nearby.

Of course he hasn't responded to the other questions either.

I flew up to Cincinnati to buy a 70 SDV from Eric about five years ago.  Drove it back 869 miles stopping in Anderson, SC to visit my dad.  Cost of the car $600.  Plane ticket $250.  Gas to get back $150.  Going on a vacation to pick up a classic Cadillac priceless.

I did the same with mine, flying to Miami, FL and driving it back, though I paid a bit more than $600.

But, the car for sale in the first post doesn't appear drivable for 100 miles, let alone 900.

Pack the tools and change the head gasket before you leave.  I thought about it for about 2 seconds before I realized I have a wife and kid now.

Send them a postcard from WI

Did I ever tell you about the time I got home from work and found a note on the table:

'Hi Hon, Gone to Tulsa.  Be back Sunday'.

900 miles each way   Undecided

I'm not convinced it's just a head gasket yet. And of course I'd end up breaking exhaust bolts.

I'd probably be better served to go get Rhino's car in NC. It just needs the transmission swapped.
