My 66 Coupe parts car has a motor/trans in it I know someone wants/needs. The conditions are unknown currently, I'll be pulling it in the next month or so and making sure it's not locked up. Don't know if its a 472 or a 500 yet, have to check codes. Just figured I'd throw it up to see if anyone is interested! No carb on it. Located in 38671; I ship motors all day long at my job; will be palletized and shipped via freight for $200 anywhere in continental US.

Dude,
If it's the original motor it will be a 429 CI not a 472/500.   shh

I am honestly not sure; but based on another thread with pictures on here, it has the different intake/distributor/valvecovers. They're not the same as the 429 that is in my blue car in my sig. I'll try to get some pictuers I took up next week!

So you think someone transplanted a 472/500 into your 1966 parts car??  Wow.  I'd keep it if I were you.
Keep all the engine mounts and exhaust manifolds and stuff too and put 'em into the '66 your're building.   rock on
Can you post some pics for us??

Please educate me if I am incorrect, I am new to this.

I'm not really interested in 'swapping' as my blue car is PERFECT besides maintenance. It runs like a top on the first bump of the key, all I did was put a hot battery on it! I have a project 'motorswap' vehicle already, don't need a 2nd!

Price is OBO; shipping will have to be calculated by zipcode and if it's a business address will be cheaper. Most likely will range around $200.

Yea man thats a 472/500 for sure. I thought one of my motors was a 429 but found out it was a 472. I just was not to familiar with the look of the 429's. So now I am gathering info on the swap. Anyways yea man thats a 472/500 and with hei ignition. It would help to know what year motor it is.

Where can I locate details/specs to determine the year and whether or not it is a 472 or a 500? Any help is greatly appreciated! I need to get this parts car stripped down and off my boss's land!

Let me know if you still have that motor set up, i am looking hard for a 500 but even if its a 472 ill live with that. I am in ontario california 91761, but let me know whats going on if you havent sold it, trying to give my 66 coupe deville a new heart transplant. Got a buddy wth a 64 and its running a cad 500 that our buddy james built and on the dyno its laying down 527 hp to the rear wheels- 619 pounds of torque.....its a monster, been trying to get my caddy a new heart and some power......lol, let me know thanks benny.......If all else fails, its getting a chevy 496 stroker, same exact build my 46 chevy pick up.....its got 542 hp-631 torque..... James is a mad scientist when it comes to motor building, he's been around it his whole life with his dad and uncles being full time/part time drag racers and motor builders them self's.....If you live in southern cali close to riverside area. give him a try for your next motor build......he is fair on price since he doesnt have a big over head with rent and what not, he uses his dad shop.......They have a motor dyno there, and the uncle has a car dyno for after the motor is dropped in, he will help you tune it intell whole motor swap is done.....But n e ways dont know how i got so fair from asking about a motor......so if any one knows where i can find a cad500 or 472 let me know......like to keep my car all caddy, but at this point i dont care, just wanna have a caddy that i can drive again and that will scoot down the road.........thanks......so just let me know what you got left and if you wanna talk price...

You have MTS right near you in Apple Valley, I'm sure they can help you.

I have all kinds of them in Olympia Washington but it would be a big drive to pick it up.
